Also, in answer to a couple questions I received a bit ago: the musical will be open to anyone in any year of school. Limitations will be based on academics, i.e. you must retain a good GPA and continue to go to your classes and do your homework while you are in the musical. Also, there is no MDT class. Not this year at least. Possibly in the future, but who knows?

    Do you know if our drama department will be participating in UTA (Utah Theatre Association) around January at Dixie State? If so, will students need to be in a drama class to be able to go?

    I do plan on going to UTA. And honestly, I'm not sure if being in a drama class is a requirement for going. I think it may be. I'll find out for you.

    When you say anyone in any year of school, does that include 9th graders? I know lots of 9th graders can join Herriman High sports, and I was wondering if I could audition for the musical.

    For this year at least, I'm going to keep it simple and have just high school students audition for the musical and play. In the future, if we have the need of some younger characters we may recruit from the middle and elementary schools.
